“I remember sitting in my 3rd grade class, having to ask classmates what we were suppose to do next because I couldn't completely read what was on the board.”

Being dyslexic is like having a super power-we see the world differently, are excellent problem solvers and can think outside the box. Our brain just works differently and that’s ok!

Erin grew up in Atlanta, GA and always struggled to read as a child. In the 4th grade, she was diagnosed with dyslexia and Attention Deficient Disorder. She attended Woodward Academy in their Orton-Gillingham based program. Erin Hall, owner of Read Write Spell, LLC, provides reading and writing tutoring for children with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. In 2001, she received her bachelors in Communication at the University of Georgia. She was trained through the Dyslexic Resource Trust and Schenck School in Atlanta in Orton-Gillingham.  Orton-Gillingham is a multisensory phonics technique to help struggling readers and children by explicitly teaching the connections between letters and sounds. Erin moved to St. Simons the summer of 2019 from Atlanta. Not only is Erin dyslexic, but at 6 years old, her daughter was diagnosed as well. With early intervention through Orton-Gillingham, her daughter, a 6th grader now, is thriving in school. If your child struggles with reading, writing and phonics, she would love to help your child thrive as well.
